Former Israeli PM:

Former Israeli Prime Minister revealed that relations between "Israel" and the UAE "have existed for more than 10 years, and began during the era of Ariel Sharon and continued during my tenure.

Iran PressMiddle East: Ehud Olmert confirmed during an election conference organized by the "Jerusalem Post" and "Maariv" said that he visited the UAE four or five times, and some of these visits took place in a period prior to the announcement of normalization, adding that he was keen to "not announce it at a time when the matter was sensitive, despite the close relationship with the Emirates."

He added, "The UAE is very happy with this relationship with Israel, but in my opinion, they are not enthusiastic about entering a war of threats and slanders against the Iranians."

He pointed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit, which was canceled during the last hours, that the Emiratis "are afraid of Netanyahu's trip, which was close to the election dates because it was clear that his visit to the UAE for a few hours was not to announce his admiration for the Islamic culture."

"He came to promote his election campaign, and the fear was that during his visit there, and in the presence of the senior leadership of the Emirates, things that could fracture Emirati relations with Iran would be said. Hence, they were not enthusiastic about this visit," added Olmert.

On Sept. 15, 2020, Israel and the UAE signed agreements on the normalization of relations in an official ceremony held at the White House.

Following this, on Jan. 24, the UAE’s cabinet approved the establishment of an embassy in Tel Aviv.

Israel appointed Eitan Na’eh to head a temporary mission in Abu Dhabi until a permanent envoy is assigned.

With the pressures of the US ex-president, Donald Trump to make the Arabic regimes' ties normalized with the Israeli regime, UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco reached an agreement with the Zionist regime on full normalization of diplomatic ties.

These agreements have been widely criticized in the Islamic world.
