Iran Press/ Iran news: The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, announced a recess to the ongoing 8th round of the Vienna talks on Friday.
The eighth round of sanctions talks begun in Vienna on December 27 is ongoing, after a short break, this time without the US and but between Iran and the P4+1 group.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, SaeedKatibzadeh wrote in a tweet on Friday: "Pause in #ViennaTalks could be a momentum for resolving any remaining issue and a final return."
Khatibzadeh reiterated that no external factor would affect the joint will to go forward with a collective agreement.
"Successful conclusion of talks will be the main focus of all," he stressed.
Earlier on Thursday, March 10, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, had a telephone conversation with Josep Borrell on the latest developments of the Vienna talks.

Reporting about the phone call, Amir-Abdollahian said an agreement was available if the American side acted realistically and consistently.
Amir- Abdollahian went on to emphasize that the outcome of the Vienna talks will be determined by a collective agreement and not a unilateral approach.
Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
