Iran Press/ Europe: Liz Truss, the British Prime Minister, announced her resignation on October 20, 2022, after 45 days in office due to increasing pressure to step down.
Truss is the second British Prime Minister after Boris Johnson to step down in the current year.
In an interview with Iran Press in front of the Prime Minister's office in London, a number of London citizens stated that the Conservative Party is facing many problems because this party only aims to defend the rich.
These British citizens believe that the increase in living costs, environmental problems and increasing the gap between the rich and the poor are among the challenges facing the new government in Britain.
Another Londoner told Iran Press about the resignation of Liz Truss the capitalist system does not get better than this and the next prime minister who comes will be the fifth prime minister in the last six years. Britain's problems are inflation and high prices and social problems.
These citizens were also asked if they see a better alternative option for Truss. They underlined that Keir Starmer, the main competitor of the ruling and conservative British party, is not a better option and cannot represent the working class, and he follows the same policies of the ruling party.
