Tehran (IP) - Iran's President says most of the developed countries in the world are suffering today from a lack of ethics and faith.

Iran PressIran news: Receiving the leader of the Assyrian Church of the East Patriarch Mar Awa III on Monday, Ebrahim Raisi said that if faith and ethics are well explained, especially by those who have a tribune in religious affairs, it can solve many problems the human societies are coping with.

Raisi attributed the oppression in the world to the lack of ethics of faith in God and highlighted the case of the US-baked Takfiri terrorists' crimes in the region, against which such great heroes as the late Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis stood and uprooted them in the region.

Patriarch Mar Awa for his part expressed satisfaction over Iran's efforts to maintain inter-faith dialogue and considered it a sign of the Islamic Republic's belief in monotheistic religions. 

The leader East Assyrian Church also appreciated the Islamic Republic's endeavor in the fight against the ISIS terrorist group for the survival of faith and humanity in Iraq and Syria.

In the meeting, the Assyrian church archbishops of Syria, Chicago, and Eastern US, Iraq's Kirkuk, and the Iranian Assyrians' representative in the country's Parliament accompanied Patriarch Mar Awa III.
