Iran Press/ Iran news: Issa Zarepour, emphasizing that the opportunities of cyberspace are much greater than its harms, said: "Current age is the age of cyberspace platforms and the extent of penetration of these platforms and the number of users determines the strategic depth of the country."
He addressed the parliament on Sunday during the process of gaining the MPs' vote of confidence, saying: "If there is a vote of confidence, I will be the voice of the deprived areas in the 13th government."
He added: "I am ready to use my 15 years of experience and expertise ... to promote Iran's position in this field and make a smart Iran."
Zarepour, stating that today information and communication technology has become an integral part of people's lives, said: "It is also important who takes the helm of the Ministry of Communications because any action can affect their business, life, and culture."
Emphasizing that the opportunities of cyberspace are much more than its harms, he said: "We have neglected the capacity of this space to govern. However, we have world-class Iranian service platforms in the field of sales and internet taxis, which has made us needless of foreign platforms."
He also said that the current age is the age of cyberspace platforms and the extent of usage of these platforms by people and the number of users determines the strategic depth of the country.
Chaired by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's parliament started reviewing the qualification of the proposed ministers of the new administration on Sunday morning by examining the competence of the proposed Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Issa Zarepour.
