Tehran (IP) - Iranian President has ordered the Ministry of Intelligence to investigate the foreign minister's leaked audio file, the government spokesman said in his presser on Tuesday.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Rabiei said: "This piracy is a conspiracy against the government, internal cohesion, our efficient and proud our men in the ground, as well as our national interests."

Referring to the release of the audio file by a London-based TV channel, Ali Rabiei said: "The audio file broadcasted by a television channel run by petro-dollars and has been a staunch supporter of suffering and threats to the Iranian people, which indicates the conspiracy and selectively broadcast this interview."

The government spokesman said: "We will wait for Zarif to return to Iran, and he will definitely provide the necessary explanations about the misunderstandings."

"This file is, in fact, a selection of very long conversations with different mischievous orientations," the government spokesman said.

He added: "The audio file was stolen and published by people whose identities are being investigated."

An interview was recorded on February 24 as part of an 'oral history' research by Iranian economist Saeed Laylaz, first leaked by the London-based television channel 'Iran International funded by Saudi Arabia.

The Iranian government spokesman also said about the exchange of prisoners between Iran and the United States that the idea of exchanging prisoners with the United States has always been raised and the number of Iranian prisoners in the United States is more than the number of American prisoners in Iran.
