Ilam (IP)– A great march on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution was held in the city of Ilam, in western Iran on Tuesday 11 February.

Iran PressIran News: The people of Ilam, from all walks of life, thronged the streets to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, renewing their allegiance with the ideals of the Islamic revolution and also commemorating the martyrdom of prominent IRGC commander, Lt. General Qassem Soleimani.

The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on 11 February (22 Bahman on the Iranian calendar). It commemorates the protests that led to the downfall of the Pahlavi regime, and the triumph of the Islamic Revolutionary headed by the late Imam Khomeini (my his soul rest in peace).

The 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution was marked by massive multi-million strong rallies and marches on Tuesday 11 February, throughout the length and breadth of the Islamic Republic. The national rallies are a true celebration of the Islamic Revolution and a manifestation of national unity.

The Islamic Revolution of Iran triumphed on 11 February 1979.
