Islamabad (IP) - The Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a statement that Pakistan welcomes the Gaza ceasefire agreement of January 15, 2025, and calls for its immediate and full implementation.

Iran Press/Asia: Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said on Thursday that it is hoped that this ceasefire will lead to a permanent ceasefire and help increase humanitarian assistance and the indiscriminate use of force by the Israeli occupying forces has caused unprecedented loss of lives and property.

He added that millions of innocent Palestinian civilians have been displaced, and Israel’s expansionist ambitions have destabilized the entire region.

"Pakistan reiterates its support for a just, comprehensive, and sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue, resulting in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital", Shafqat Ali Khan noted.

Media sources say the draft ceasefire agreement is finalized between Palestine's Resistance group Hamas and the Israeli regime and will be officially announced soon.
