Iran Press/ Iran news: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 22, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 was 6,208 cases out of whom 915 patients were hospitalized," the Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari stated.
She added that in the past 24 hours, 187 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 54,003.
5,467 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.
"So far, 7,149,357 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.
Currently, 205 cities are in the orange zone, and 243 are in the yellow zone.
