Orange status in Tehran is fragile: Spox.

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus stated that the orange status in Tehran and many other cities is fragile, and if people do not follow the health protocols seriously, the restrictions may intensify again in the coming weeks.

Iran Press/Iran news: Alireza Raisi said on Saturday that changing the color of cities does not mean controlling the pandemic. The orange status in Tehran and many other cities are fragile, and if people do not follow the health protocols seriously, the restrictions may intensify again in the coming weeks by changing the color.

Alireza Raisi added: "In general, the color of cities is not stable and depends on the observance of health protocols by the people and the cooperation of officials, if in different cities, including Tehran, which changed color from red to orange, people follow the protocols carefully; the city remains orange and we can even go to the yellow status, but if the protocols are not observed, we must impose maximum restrictions again."

"Today, we had two resolutions in the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus meeting. First, in orange cities, traffic restrictions will be imposed from 9 pm to 4 am. This restriction, which was previously only for red cities, also applies to 278 orange cities," he noted.
