Iran Press/Iran news: A meeting on Combating COVID-19 held at Interior Ministry chaired by Iran's Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Hossein Zolfaqari. Also at this meeting Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh commander of Seyed-al-Shohada Corps, head of the Health Ministry’s Center for Management of Contagious Diseases Mohammad Mehdi Gouya and Alireza Raeisi, deputy of Health Ministry were in attendance.
Zolfaqari stated, "Iran's implementation of Social Distancing has shot down schools, universities, and Friday prayers decreasing the commuting and communications. People's cooperation succeeded in cutting down the infection and the numbers of infected."
He added two topics that are important to consider after the fall of COVD-19 peak; one continuous monitoring of people's health and second, people's business and income which have been taken into account form two weeks ago.
The official highlighted that the reopening of parks and resorts under hygienic protocols and priority for providing hygienic and disinfectant for the public transportation system.
"There is also an effort to allocate a place in the entrance of subways and buses to distribute masks for those who don't have," the official added.
Today at the meeting chaired by Zolfaqari also it has been suggested to increase work hours in order to decrease the communing and crowds during rush hour for the Fast-Breaking time.
"Coronavirus is a serious matter still, the world is grappling with it, and Iran is one of the forerunners of combating the virus. What is validated and important for us is the reports given by the Health Ministry, the rest which might make people's preoccupied and make them anxious are not valuable," he concluded.
