Iran Press/ Iran news: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, May 31, Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili told reporters that the process of sending the Iranian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is going well and that 14,000 people have so far been sent to Saudi Arabia.
Esmaili also reported the pilgrims' satisfaction with the process and added that this year 85,000 pilgrims are scheduled to be sent to Mecca and Medina.
The first group of pilgrims left the country for Saudi Arabia Wednesday, May 24.
