A member of the Iraqi parliament described yesterday's speech by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran during the meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister as a clear message from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United States.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mohammad al-Baldawi, a member of the Sadeghun faction in the Iraqi parliament, said on Wednesday that remarks by Iran's Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei about the martyrs of the resistance during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi sent a message to Americans that the Iranians have not and will not forget their crime.

The Iraqi representative added: "The issue of the investigation into the airport incident and the martyrdom of the resistance commanders by the government of Mustafa al-Kazemi, despite the fact that the perpetrator of the operation is known and the Americans have claimed responsibility for it, is still slow in progress."

In a meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister yesterday, Iran's Leader stressed that Iran would deal a similar blow to the United States in response to the assassination of martyr Lieutenant General Ghasem Soleimani, adding: "Martyr Soleimani was a guest in Iraq and was martyred by American criminals on Iraqi soil."

The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGCLieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials, was assassinated by the US drone attack in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU) Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis as well as eight companions.

Many countries, organizations, and groups have condemned the US terrorist act.

On 8 2020, in response to the terrorist act of assassinating Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis and their companions, Islamic Revolution Guard Corps fired missiles at Ain al-Assad US airbase in Iraq.
