The Syrian army prevented a convoy of American troops from passing through the northeastern province of al-Hasakah.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), Syrian army forces on Friday blocked the passage of three US armored vehicles in the town of Tal Tamar, a suburb of al-Hasakah, forcing US troops to retreat.

Earlier, residents of the Syrian province of al-Hasakah had repeatedly blocked the movement of US military convoys in the area and protested their presence.

The eastern regions of Syria have been the scene of numerous anti-occupation demonstrations, new US sanctions against Syria, and the Turkish military over the past month.

With the illegal presence of its forces in eastern Syria, the United States is not only supporting terrorist groups in Syria but also by imposing sanctions on the country, intends to put the Syrian government in a difficult position to prevent cooperation between Damascus and its allies in rebuilding Syria.

The Turkish army is currently occupying areas in northern Syria under the pretext of confronting the Turkish Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and it has repeatedly invaded Syrian territory, which has received widespread international condemnation. 207/219
