Hamas stresses practical measures against Israeli annexation of West Bank

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called on Arab countries and the international community to take practical steps to prevent the Israeli regime from annexing parts of the West Bank to the occupied territories.

Iran Press/Middle East: Under the US-Israeli-cooked plot of the "Deal of the Century", the Zionist regime intends to annex 30 percent of the West Bank to the occupied territories in early July with the support of the Donald Trump's administration.

Hamas spokesman Hamiz Qasim said in a statement on Tuesday that the Zionist regime and the US government must be pressured by the international community to prevent the occupation of the West Bank.

Noting that relying on media and political stances do not suffice against the Zionist regime, Hamas spokesman said the Zionist regime has accustomed to rebel against the international consensus.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority Mohammad Shtayyeh declared if the Israeli regime's cabinet does not stop occupying the West Bank the Palestinian National Authority will adopt a new strategy.

Many countries, personalities, political and religious authorities around the world have condemned the Zionist regime's plan to occupy parts of the West Bank.

On Tuesday 28 January, US President Donald Trump released his so-called plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during a press conference at the White House, where he was hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while the Palestinian authorities were not represented.

The Zionist Regime is going to occupy and annex parts of the West Bank to the territories that have been occupied in Palestine.

The annexation encompasses over 30 percent of the West Bank. The United States said it was ready to recognize Israel's annexation of much of the occupied West Bank.
