The spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Fawzi Barhoum has said that Israeli war minister's recent remarks reflect we are on the right track.

Israeli war minister Avigdor Lieberman’s admission that all external attempts to topple Hamas in Gaza have failed is an official recognition that the Movement has a national program and is on the right track", The spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement “ Hamas”, Fawzi Barhoum stated.

"The concordance between Lieberman’s incitement against Hamas and similar remarks by senior Fatah official Azzam al-Ahmed confirmed that there are coordination and joint plans between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli occupation state to target the Gaza people and their resistance in order to execute their malicious projects and schemes", Hamas spokesman added.

"The Israeli-PA incitement against Hamas would only create a great incentive for the Palestinian people to uphold their unity and struggle, and rally around their resistance", Barhoum concluded.

In recent remarks, Lieberman admitted that all external attempts to overthrow Hamas had failed and
called for pushing the citizens in Gaza to revolt against it.

According to the United Nations Middle East envoy Nikolay Mladenov, "Gaza is on the verge of collapse" and the Security Council has done nothing to take urgent action to relieve the suffering of the besieged city’s “increasingly desperate people,” including women and children.

Since 2007, the Gaza Strip has suffered from a crippling Israeli/Egyptian blockade that has gutted its economy and deprived its more than 2 million residents of vital commodities.
