Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry said that the ministry would use all its capacities to hold the 14th presidential election abroad.

Iran PressIran news: Nasser Kanani elaborated on the process of holding the 14th presidential election abroad in a press conference on Wednesday.

Kanaani told reporters that there are less than 48 hours left for the election and the necessary items for the election have been sent abroad:

"Communications between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ones who are in charge of holding elections abroad are going on and it has been ensured that the items have been received."

He said that all Iranian embassies and consulates abroad are in full preparation for holding elections, adding that the votes of the people are collected and counted and then sent to the Ministry of Interior.

He pointed out that as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized, maximum participation is the foundation of national authority.

"We are confident that the participation in this phase will be more than in the past, and immediately after the end of the voting, the vote counting phase will be carefully implemented," the MFA spokesman said. 

Referring to the participation of Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia in the elections, Kanaani said that efforts are being so that the Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia could go to the ballot boxes.

Iranian people will go to the ballot boxes on Friday, June 28, to choose their president among the six candidates Saeed Jalili, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Masoud Pezeshkian, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, and Alireza Zakani.
