Iran Press/ Asia: Iran's ambassador to Tajikistan, Mohammad Taghi Saberi, said: Military genius was one of the characteristics of General Soleimani, which was obtained by the continuous presence on the battlefield.
"The bravery and fighting were the other characteristics of Qasem Soleimani," the ambassador noted.
Mohammad Taghi Saberi also called Soleimani an independent person from political groups, and currents and said: That is why more than 20 million people participated in his funeral.
General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Second-in-Command Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by the former US President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
General Soleimani and his companions were highly popular because of their key role in eliminating the US-backed ISIS terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
General Soleimani was assassinated by the US while he was in Baghdad at the official invitation of the Iraqi government.
The ambassador emphasized: The enemy thought that the story would end with the martyrdom of General Soleimani, regardless of the fact that today Martyr Soleimani is more effective and efficient than when he was alive.
