Iran Press/ Iran news: The head of Hamas' political bureau arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Tuesday and was welcomed by Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Receiving the head of Palestinian Hamas' political bureau Ismail Haniya on Tuesday, Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated the Palestinian people and resistance groups' unique resistance against the Israeli regime and said that Iran will not hesitate to support the Palestinian cause and the oppressed but resistant people of Gaza.
Ayatollah Khamenei said: "The historical patience of the people of Gaza against the Zionist regime's crimes and brutalities, which is perpetrated with the full support of the West, is a great phenomenon that has truly given honor to Islam and made the issue of Palestine the first issue of the world despite the enemy's will."
The genocide in Gaza upsets any human who enjoys conscience, he said, and considered the support of the international general public and the Islamic world, especially the Arab world important.
He admired the media operation of the Palestinian resistance beyond the Israeli smear campaigns and called for more action in this regard.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also commemorated al-Arouri, one of the Hamas leaders who was martyred by the Israeli regime.
Ismail Haniya, for his part, appreciated the Iranian nation and government's support for the Palestinian issue the exemplary patience and resistance of the Gazan people and resistance forces during nearly six months originated from their steadfast faith which caused the Israeli regime failed to reach its goals in the war on Gaza.
He referred to the Al-Aqsa Flood as an operation that broke the invincible image of the Israeli enemy and noted that after almost six months, the Israeli regime suffered heavy losses, and thousands of its forces were killed and wounded.
The war on Gaza is a world war and the US is the main accomplice of the Israeli crime because it is in charge of leading the war on Gaza, he pointed out.
Haniya ensured that despite all the Israeli regime's brutality, crimes, and genocide that is going on in Gaza, the people of the strip besides the resistance forces stand strong and will not allow the regime to achieve its goals.
During his second trip to Iran after the October 7 Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the Israeli Regime, the Hamas chief met with the high officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and discussed with them the recent developments in Palestine.
Haniyeh's visit to Tehran is important because it is happening only one day after the UN Security Council's resolution regarding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza was approved.
With 14 out of 15 member states of the UN Security Council voting in favor of the immediate ceasefire in the war on Gaza, the resolution was finally approved on Monday after nearly six months of the Israeli regime's war on the Gaza Strip.
