Iran Press/ Iran news: Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met Ismail Haniyeh, the Political Bureau Chief of Hamas, and the accompanying delegation, on Wednesday stressing that the issue of Palestine is the heart of the issues of the Islamic world and the Islamic Ummah, and noted: As much progress is made in the issue of Palestine, the issues of the Islamic Ummah will also progress.
Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the noticeable difference in the conditions of Palestine compared to 2 or 3 years ago, added: The main reason for the suspension of the Palestinian issue in recent years was the lack of participation of the youth in the scene, but now the youth have entered the scene spontaneously, and more importantly, they rely on Islam.
Re-emphasizing the issue of unity and harmony among the resistance groups, the Leader pointed out: In the recent battle of Gaza, we witnessed that the enemy's attempt was to make a rift and divisions among the resistance groups and induce this perception, which, by the grace of God, did not succeed. Therefore, we should focus more on the issue of unity and harmony and continue this correct path with strength.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution called Gaza the center of resistance and added: But the point that will bring the enemy to its knees is the West Bank region, where good progress has been made so far.
Ayatollah Khamenei said: Who would have imagined that one day the Palestinian youth in Jenin would be so close to the Zionist forces that they would be forced to use fighter jets to escape from the siege of the young fighters, but this happened a few days ago in Jenin.
The Leader considered international propaganda to be in favor of the Palestinian people, despite all the pressures, and pointed out: On Quds Day this year, in addition to Islamic countries, a march was held even in European countries, and the people of Europe expressed their opposition to the Zionist regime, which is a very important issue and it should be strengthened.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized the support of the Islamic Republic for the Palestine issue and said: Imam Khomeini supported Palestine from the very beginning of the Islamic Movement based on faith and belief, and the basis of the support of the Islamic Republic is also based on Islamic jurisprudence and Sharia, and not movements or tactics or diplomacy.
Ayatollah Khamenei added: The land of Palestine belongs to all Muslims, so it is obligatory for all Muslims to enter the scene to liberate it, and this is a religious duty.
In this meeting, Ismail Haniyeh, the Political Bureau Chief of Hamas, while thanking the Islamic Republic for its constant support for the Palestinian issue, presented a report on the latest developments in the occupied territories, especially the West Bank, and said: Gaza is the heart of the resistance, but today the main and decisive battle is in the West Bank and despite the dangerous decisions that the Zionist enemy is taking, but due to the superior hand of the young fighters in the West Bank, this regime has no options other than bad and worse options in front of it.
He called the most important development in occupied Palestine the young generation's acceptance of struggle and jihad and the formation of spontaneous armed resistance units in the West Bank and added: "The current conditions and the progress of the resistance front are unprecedented in the history of the occupation of Palestine."
