Iran Press/ Iran Sports: The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games kicked off in Konya, Turkey, from August 09 to 18, 2022.
ISG 2021 is a multinational, multi-sport event played between the athletes from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation nations.
In its third match in the Konay Games 2021, Iran's volleyball team was won over 2-3 by Turkiye's last night, Saturday.
The Iranian team, however, which had confirmed its position on top of the ranking table, went to the semi-finals to face Azerbaijan's team.
The games were held in two groups; Sudan, Cameroon, Morocco, and the Republic of Azerbaijan were in group 1, and Iran, Turkiye, Qatar, and Pakistan were in group 2.
Shahrouz Homayounfarmanesh (the captain), Ali Ramezani, Fazel Pejuman, Pouria Yali, Bardia Saadat, Arman Rahmani, Ehsan Daneshdoost, Ali Hajipour, Esmail Mosafir, Mehrab Maleki Sorkhi, Amir-Reza Sarlak, Mohammad Valizadeh, Abolfazl Gholipour, and Esmail Talebi are the ones play in Iran's team.
Also accompanying the Iranian team is Mostafa Karkhaneh as the supervisor, Azim Jazideh as the head coach, Kambiz Yaghoubi as the coach, Vahid Sadeghi and Ahmad Fattah as the assistant coaches, and Amin Aliakbari as the Analyzer.
