Tehran (IP) – The Iranian Ministry of Culture and the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations registered June 30 as the National Day of Cultural Diplomacy in the Iranian Calendar.

Iran PressIran news: Delivering a speech at the registration ceremony on Sunday, Iran's Minister of Culture Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili said that the late Raisi's administration focused on the political and economic interactions with the neighbors, and at the same time, improved raised the level of cultural relations with them.

Esmaili said that the administration freed the country's diplomacy from dependence on a few certain Western countries and made relations with the world, entering the BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). 

Also, the Head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations Mahammad-Mahdi Imanipour considered global solidarity with the Islamic Republic after the response to the Israeli regime's aggression on the Iranian consulate in Syria as a fruit of the late President Raisi's administration.

The current status Iran has gained in the world was owed to a great extent to Martyr Raisi's endeavors, Imanipour said.

Late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation including the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian were martyred in a helicopter crash on Sunday, May 19 in the Dizmar forest in East Azerbaijan Province as they were returning from opening a joint construction project with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
