Rome (IP) - Italian people rallied in opposition to abortion law in Rome.

Iran PressEurope: Thousands of protestors demonstrated in the streets of Rome declaring abortion to be immoral and the cause of weakening strong family bonds.

A young Italian mother told an Iran Press reporter in Rome: "Our demonstrations support all aspects of life."

Demonstrating against Law 194, terminating a pregnancy in Italy on May 22, 1978, an elderly Italian man expressed his views to the reporter of Iran Press on the ground against abortion being allowed. 

Childbearing in Italy has turned into a crisis that was described as a demographic winter by experts.

Italy experienced the lowest fertility rate in the last 162 years, according to the Italian Statistic Center (ISTAT). Italy's birth rate in 2022 dropped to 400,000 for the first time, causing an alarm. Meanwhile, the number of deaths in Italy has been recorded at over 700,000 people.
