Iran Press/ Europe: The festival is held to strengthen the twinning pact between Isfahan and St. Petersburg.
Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Russia, who participated in the festival via video conference, said: "Iran-Russia relations are in excellent condition in political, military, defense and security dimensions, but they need to be developed culturally and economically."
Emphasizing that the Russian language is vital for Iran's national security, he said: "Due to the lack of content in Russian and Persian, the Iranian nation's knowledge of Russia and vice-versa is at a low level that must be addressed."
