Kermanshah, Iran – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has entered the second day of its extensive military exercise, codenamed "Great Prophet 19," in the western province of Kermanshah.

The drills, which commenced on Saturday, aim to enhance the combat readiness of the IRGC Ground Forces and refine their capabilities in deploying troops, equipment, and supplies, according to officials.

Brigadier General Mohammad-Nazar Azimi, the commander of the Najaf Ashraf Regional Headquarters, outlined the significance of the exercise. "The primary objective of the exercise is to ensure the combat readiness of the elite unit," he stated.

The maneuvers are taking place in the Oramanat and Ozgaleh regions, close to Iran’s western border. General Azimi highlighted the strategic importance of the area, noting its history as a staging ground for hostile groups attempting to undermine security.

The drill is also being used to test and showcase an array of modern military hardware. The IRGC has not yet disclosed specific details about the equipment involved, but the exercise underscores its focus on maintaining a strong defensive posture in border regions.
