Iran Press/ Europe: The economic delegation of Tehran province, headed by the governor, representatives of 30 companies, and the deputy of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, arrived in Moscow on Wednesday.
The delegation held talks with Iran's ambassador to Russia.
Pointing to the reasons behind the importance of the cooperation boost, Kazem Jalali, the Iranian ambassador to Russia, called for the private sector to take serious steps in the field of export.
Against the backdrop of the imposed sanctions on Moscow, the Governor of Tehran Alireza Fakhari called the situation an "opportunity" where Tehran can play a dominant role in the Russian market.
The big picture can be achieved through "proper planning" and " production boost," according to Fakhari.
"Tehran enjoys 35 percent of the country's GDP," said Mahdi Sadeghi Niaraki, the deputy of the Chamber of Commerce of Tehran province, in the meeting.
Niaraki added that cooperation with Russia should be expanded by setting up a joint working group between the embassy, the governorate, and the chamber of commerce.
The Iranian delegation with 30 companies' representatives plans to attend the 'Made in Russia' exhibition in Moscow.
