Iran Press/ Middle East: The Iranian parliamentary delegation headed by Vahid Jalalzadeh, chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, met with Hammouda Sabbagh, the Speaker of the Syrian Parliament, in Damascus on Tuesday evening. In this meeting the two sides discussed the expansion of parliamentary cooperation.
After this meeting, Iranian senior member of Parliament told reporters that the level of political relations between Iran and Syria is excellent and efforts should be made to expand the economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries too.
The parliamentary delegation headed by Vahid Jalalzadeh, the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, started a seven-day trip to Syria and Lebanon on Monday. 219
