Tehran (IP)- The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while referring to the meeting between the foreign ministers of Iran and Oman last night, said that Oman’s government is still interested in negotiations to lift sanctions and Iran welcomes these initiatives and efforts.

Iran PressIran news: Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a press conference on Monday and in response to the question of an Iran Press correspondent added: "Iran-Oman relations are strong, stable and rooted."

He emphasized: "The relations have common dimensions in the regional and international fields."

Kanaani added: "Bilateral economic, commercial and political issues have been discussed since Iran-Oman’s 20th joint committee is going to be held and Oman’s Trade Minister will travel to Tehran."

He stated: "The issue of Palestine is a concern of both countries. Iran and Oman emphasized the necessity of ceasing the attacks on Gaza and lifting the blockade."

Two countries agree that the Zionist regime’s crimes cannot be tolerated and the international community is responsible, he noted.

Pointing out that Oman has shown its fair behaviour, Kanaani added: "The last night's talks were mainly about Palestine, but the Omani government is still interested in negotiations to lift the sanctions."
