Tehran (IP) – The Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) said the Iranian expert managed to build a reactor simulator for the first time.

Iran PressIran News: The unveiling ceremony of the 30 MW light water reactor simulator was held on Tuesday evening in the presence of the head of the Atomic Energy Organization.

Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization, in this ceremony said: This is a simulator of a reactor control room in an educational way.

Eslami added: Since training is an important issue, nuclear energy students can gain experience using this simulator in a risk-free environment.

He emphasized: The current simulator is in charge training, which is assigned to the Research Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Technologies.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization said: This simulator will help researchers in conducting research, both in the software and safety control sectors.

Eslami pointed to the purposes of the system, adding that the simulator is developed to be used for training the AEOI's staff and also is applied by the nuclear students to conduct their research studies.

He promised the advent of new projects, including the construction of new power plants. 

In the end, Eslami highlighted: Previously, the lower generations of this simulator were given to universities, but from now on, they will be given a higher level of service, and the simulator can also be exported to neighboring countries according to the standards of the International Energy Agency.
