Iranian ambassador to Nigeria, Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja said in the ceremony that the Iranian ambassador to Nigeria stated that the 1979 Islamic Revolution was a historic expression of the Iranian people’s will, rooted in faith, national identity, and the pursuit of independence.
He emphasized that the revolution overthrew a foreign dependent dictatorship and went beyond a mere change of power, laying the foundation for national sovereignty, popular governance, and the restoration of Iran’s dignity and independence.
Mahdavi Raja said that despite ongoing military, political, and media pressure from the U.S. and the Zionist regime, Iran will firmly defend its security while pursuing diplomacy based on mutual respect, rejecting negotiations grounded in threats or coercion.
