In a televised message on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei described 22 Bahman as the day for unveiling the power and dignity of the Iranian nation.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that public participation in the celebration rallies and the expression of loyalty to the Islamic Republic would force the enemy to retreat from its ambitions against Iran and its national interests.
He said: "On 22 Bahman, by showing your will and steadfastness, disappoint the enemy."
"On 22 Bahman 1357 (1979), the Iranian nation achieved a great victory by saving the country from foreign interference, and in the years since, it has stood firm against continuous efforts to restore the previous situation. 22 Bahman is the symbol of this steadfastness," the Leader pointed out.
The celebration rallies of 22 Bahman and people's presence in the streets, he stressed, will compel those who harbor ambitions against Iran, the Islamic Republic, and the nation’s interests to retreat.
"As in various past instances, once again, by demonstrating national power, unity, strength of thought and will, motivation, and steadfastness in the face of temptations, disappoint the enemy, because unless the enemy is disappointed, it will not cease its harassment and hostility," Leader of Islamic Revolution said.
