Damascus (IP) - The managing director of the Iranian Electrical Power Equipment Manufacturing and Provision Company (SATKAB) and Syria's Minister of Electricity stressed the expansion of energy cooperation.

Iran PressMiddle East: Meeting with the SATKAB Managing-Director Mojtaba Akbari, Syrian Minister of Electricity Ghassan al-Zamel said the country's need for energy, especially electricity, has fostered the conditions for the Iranian public and private companies to fulfill the Syrians' needs in this regard. 

Al-Zamel pointed to the presence of the Iranian companies such as MAPNA in Syria to rebuild the country's power plants and said: "Syria's need for wind and solar energy and Iran's capabilities in these areas have prepared the grounds for Iran to address Syria's fuel shortage."
