Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Health Minister said that Iran ranked sixth in the world in producing the corona vaccine and is among the top 5 manufacturers of medical equipment with the help of indigenous knowledge amid sanctions.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the unveiling of medical simulators on Wednesday, Saeed Namaki told Iran Press that Iran's success in producing coronavirus vaccine and other medical achievements proved that the country was one of the largest centers of technology and medical science in the world.

"Iran can play a role in the field of technology and knowledge of medical sciences worldwide due to its progress and achievements," Namaki said.

Namaki stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran ranked sixth in the world in producing the corona vaccine, which could produce the COVID-19 vaccine from scratch; it is also among the top 5 manufacturers of medical equipment.

The minister of health said that since manufacturing medical equipment is economical, the markets will soon be opened to its medical equipment.

Medical simulators were unveiled in Tehran in the presence of the Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education and the Vice President for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari.

Iranian researchers in knowledge-based companies have succeeded in producing medical surgical simulators and advanced diagnostic devices.
