Tehran (IP)- During a press conference at the 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, ‎Refining and ‎Petrochemical Exhibition, Morteza Shahmirzaie, the managing director of the National Petrochemical Company of Iran (NPC), revealed plans to launch 15 petrochemical projects by the end of the current Iranian calendar year.

Shahmirzaie highlighted the significant progress made in Iran's petrochemical industry over the past year and emphasized the commitment of NPC and other industry players to continue this momentum.

With these new projects coming online, Iran's petrochemical industry's capacity is expected to exceed 100 million tons.

The exhibition, known as Iran Oil Show 2024, has brought together 1500 Iranian and 250 international companies from 12 countries. With a focus on "Petroleum industry, production leap and technological optimization," the event showcases the latest advancements in the oil and gas sector.
