Ambassador of Serbia:
Iran, Serbia have many areas of economic cooperation

The Serbian ambassador to Iran said that Iran and Serbia have many fields of economic cooperation and more economic development can be provided through mutual cooperation.

Iran PressIran news: Dragan Todorovic, during a meeting with the Vice President of the Fars Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture in Shiraz, added: "Shiraz, one of the most important cities in Iran, has signed a cultural cooperation agreement with Novi Sad, Serbia, which is very important for expanding relations."

He continued: "Now our focus is on increasing economic relations and solving problems to develop relations between Serbia and Fars province."

Referring to his visit to Fars, Shiraz, he stated: "In addition to the agricultural sector, we can have good economic and trade relations with each other in various other sectors." Todorovic added: "The joint economic commission with the presence of the two countries is to be activated in Tehran."

Mohammad Sadegh Hamidian, the Vice President of Fars Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, while emphasizing the need to develop economic cooperation and increase trade relations between the two sides said: "Cooperation between Fars and Serbia in agriculture, industry, mining, and tourism is very important."

He added: "The main advantage of Fars province is the agricultural sector because the province supplies 12% of Iran's agricultural products and has a 35% share in the export of Iranian agricultural products."

He said: "Fars province is a tourist hub and has cultural and historical attractions, especially health tourists, which can have a good base for cooperation."

Hamidian continued: "We are also ready to send an economic and trade delegation to Serbia and receive economic activists from that country."
