Moussavi condemned Pompeo statement

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi , said the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo should better rid himself of the eighteenth-century thoughts that power holders saw themselves above international law and order.

Iran Press/Iran News: Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Thursday strongly condemned the Pompeo's statement that the occupation of West Bank settlements did not conflict with international law.

Mousavi went on to say that the statements ate further evidence of US involvement in the occupation of Palestinian territories and Israeli crimes in Palestine and violation of the sovereignty of neighboring countries, Iran Press reported.

He noted that the US actions and statements regarding Palestine are gross violations of international law, calling for international community movements to oppose them.

"The Zionist regime is a usurper and occupier regime and the only solution to the Palestinian crisis is to hold a referendum among the main inhabitants of the land," he said, noting that Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people.

Mousavi also said the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo should better rid himself of the eighteenth-century thoughts that power holders saw themselves above international law and order. In the 21st century, neither The United States is absolute power, nor anybody else acknowledges the violation of international law by power holders.
