Iran Press/Iran news: The Speaker of the parliament Ali Larijani said the illegal US move shows the depths of US hostility, and ignorance vis-a-vis Islamic Iran.
Speaking in the open session of the parliament on Tuesday, Larijani, said: "Everyone is aware that the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has inflicted the most damage on terrorist groups of all kind, fighting terrorists in this region -- terrorists who are funded and armed by major world powers."
According to an Iran Press report, elsewhere in his remarks, Larijani said: "In recent years, Terrorists backed by major world powers had set the entire middle east region on fire. It was the IRGC which stalwartly stood up to them, defeated them and broke their back. The world public opinion is well aware of the IRGC's staunch confrontation and defeat of terrorists.
Iran's Parliament speaker highlighted that Iran's IRGC served as the main basis of resistance in the sacred defense era, when all of the major powers were supporting former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Larijani said the IRGC (Islamic Revolution Guard Corps) was the only force to stand against the terrorists supported by major world powers.
In further remarks, Larijani said: "Trump, you seem to forget your own words saying the US main deficiency lies in the creation and reinforcement of terrorist groups such as ISIS."
Addressing the US president, Donald Trump, the speaker of Iran's parliament said: " You should remember that former US secretary of state admitted that the US was the creator of ISIS terrorists." 103/211/203
