Iran's Consulate opens in Aleppo

Damascus (IP) - Following the recent visit of the Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Damascus and consultations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and foreign minister Faisal Mekdad, the Syrian authorities agreed to open Iran's Consulate in Aleppo.

Iran PressMiddle East: On this occasion, the inauguration of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Aleppo was held today by the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Syrian Arab Republic in the form of a video conference in the presence of the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria.

Iranian foreign minister headed a delegation to Syria earlier this month to exchange views on bilateral and regional issues and review the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
