Tehran (IP)- According to Iran's ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, a favorable opportunity has been created for Tehran-Moscow cooperation in the petrochemical sector.

Iran PressEurope: Speaking to SHANA, Jalali highlighted the increase in Iran-Russia trade volume over the past year and noted that Iran's exports to Russia have diversified beyond agricultural commodities and horticultural crops.

The two countries are now expanding their cooperation and trade transactions, particularly in the petrochemical and technological sectors. 

Jalali also mentioned that Tehran and Moscow are collaborating in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment fields.

He referred to Iran's participation in Rosplast 2023, the 13th International Exhibition of Machinery and Materials for Plastics Industry held in Moscow from June 6-8, as a display of Iran's petrochemical progress in Russia.

The ambassador stated that the Russian exhibition was an excellent opportunity for Iran to develop its markets, establish joint ventures with participating countries, and showcase its petrochemical achievements.

Jalali emphasized that Iran's petrochemical industry has made significant progress after the Islamic Revolution, with an annual production capacity of 90 million tons. He concluded by stating that Iran's petrochemical products are now recognized worldwide.
