Tehran(IP)- On Saturday, Iran's Foreign Minister had a telephone conversation with Qatar's Foreign Minister about the sanctions lifting negotiations.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press news agency, in this telephone conversation, Sheikh Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Qatar's foreign minister emphasized Doha's desire for Tehran and Washington to reach an agreement to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action(JCPOA), saying that reaching a fair nuclear agreement would benefit the security and stability of the region.

Negotiations focused on lifting the oppressive and illegal sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran have experienced progress due to the initiatives of the Iranian negotiating team, but the procrastination of the western parties, especially the Joe Biden's  administration , to compensate for the illegal actions of the previous US administration and the continuance of the maximum pressure campaign  has led to doubts about Iran's seriousness to return to the JCPOA and the prolongation of the dialogue process.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has made the verification of the lifting of sanctions, obtaining guarantees regarding the durability of the JCPOA and the removal of safeguards claims of the Atomic Agency as its main demand in the negotiations to lift the sanctions and has emphasized that It only  considers  returning to the bilateral agreement, which in exchange for some restrictions, will bring tangible economic benefits to the Iranian nation and can be considered as  logical act  to be accompanied and to be accepted.

Earlier, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone conversation to discuss the latest status of negotiations on the lifting of sanctions, and to review some bilateral and regional issues of interest to both sides.
