Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Iran press, Abdolnaser Derakhshan, the head of the Iran-New Zealand Parliamentary Friendship Group in Iran's Parliament on Thursday, held talks with Andrew Bayly, and Ibrahim Omer, the heads of the Middle East and Africa Parliamentary Friendship Group in the New Zealand Parliament, which was held in the webinar format, saying: "The Islamic Republic of Iran and New Zealand need determination to improve the level of relations, considering their existing capabilities."
The head of the parliamentary friendship group of Iran and New Zealand in the Parliament considered parliamentary friendship groups to be a good capacity in advancing bilateral interactions and added: "Strengthening parliamentary diplomacy as well as continuing consultations among the lawmakers will help to expand relations between Iran and New Zealand."
Derakhshan considered the relations between Iran and New Zealand for more than half a century in the cultural, social and political-economic fields as a strong support for the relations between the two countries and said: "Parliamentary cooperation will be effective in strengthening interactions and facilitating relations between governments."

Andrew Bayly and Ibrahim Omer, the heads of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Middle East and Africa in the Parliament of New Zealand, also pointed out the history of relations between the two countries and emphasized the need to strengthen the friendly relations between the two sides.
Bayly stated: "The New Zealand Parliament is determined to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields for the development and expansion of relations."
Ibrahim Omer also said that the cruel US sanctions against Iran have led to a decrease in bilateral cooperation and is considered an obstacle in the path of expanding relations, which should be removed as soon as possible.
