Iran Press/Iran news: 'The US has trampled upon the internationally recognized the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and has set 12 preconditions to revive the JCPOA, but the admission of their call leaves no dignity for Iranian people,' Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday.
No one should ask 'us to admit the US illogical demands as their move will bring the Iranian nation humility, so we have no option except resistance', Larijani said, IRNA reported.
Incapable US administrators will be forced to accept Iran's call and this requires resistance, but if 'we lose patience, they will step forward and treat us' like Saudi Arabia, he said.
'We are now experiencing a very tough situation, but we should change the current circumstances through empowering our economy to attain self-dependency,' he said.
U.S. President, Donald Trump withdrew Washington from the nuclear agreement in last May and reintroduced sanctions on Iran in August. The second wave of sanctions, which targets Iran’s oil exports and central bank, started in early November.
On September 25, European Union foreign policy chief, Fredrica Mogherini announced that the bloc was creating a new payment mechanism to allow countries to transact with Iran while avoiding US sanctions.105/201
