Iran Press/ Iran news: "During my tenure at the IAEA, I will not allow anyone to exploit the IAEA for their own purposes," Rafael Grossi told a joint news conference with Ali Akbar Salehi, vice president and head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran on Tuesday.
"Iran is one of the places where various inspections have been carried out, but there are a number of cases that need transparency and no change in the Agency's approach has been achieved. Our cooperation is constructive and interactive," the top nuclear official went on to say.
He expressed hope that the IAEA would be able to monitor the activities of Saudi Arabia's nuclear program.
"I have no political orientation and the IAEA's supervision is based on technical issues, but there are a number of things that need to be done," said the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency while noting that sometimes things happen that need to be clarified.
Grossi stated that the IAEA has a sole relationship with countries and no third country can affect the IAEA's relations with other countries. All reports published by the Agency are published systematically and with special sensitivity. Governments go, but it's the Agency that stays.
He also described the relationship between Iran and the IAEA as important. I guarantee that there is no influence on the agency, but there is pressure. This is also part of world politics. As much as we can, we do not allow pressures to affect us. 207/209
