Tehran (IP) - The deputy director for development and engineering affairs of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said that although sanctions cause trouble for Iran, they never halted different projects.

Iran PressIran News: On the sideline of the signing ceremony of 13 oil contracts, the NIOC deputy director for development and engineering affairs Reza Deghan said that we continue our production and development despite sanctions are imposed on Iran.

"We have always welcomed cooperation with international companies and exchange knowledge and experience, but we are not dependent on foreign companies in this regard," the official went on to say.

The contracts which were signed today were planned in JCPOA time and before sanctions We have paved the way for Iranian contractors to launch them, he added.

Deghan highlighted that 23 contracts to promote and enhance production have been signed and all 23 contracts are purely indigenous ones.

Up to 80% of the equipment necessary in these projects will be manufactured inside the country, he concluded.
