Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also signed the memorial note laid out for victims of Beirut accident and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
In a telephone conversation with Lebanese Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe last Wednesday, Zarif expressed his condolences to the Lebanese people and government and said that Tehran was ready to provide assistance in the form of infrastructural as well as urgent needs, especially in the humanitarian field.
Last Tuesday evening, a massive explosion took place in a nearby warehouse containing 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate following a large fire in an incendiary warehouse in the port of Beirut.
The blast has killed more than 150 people and injured more than 5,000, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
According to Lebanese sources, more than 60 people are still missing in the blast in the port of Beirut.
