Tehran (IP): Parliament Speakers of Iran and Turkey in a telephone conversation stressed the need to develop comprehensive relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa ?entop, had a telephone conversation with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Monday afternoon.

At the beginning of the conversation, Mustafa ?entop congratulated Eid al-Adha and expressed hope that they will see the coronavirus disappear from all over the world.

He added, "During the Coronavirus epidemic, we have always been in full solidarity and communication with Iran, and the health ministers of the two countries are in constant contact to exchange experiences in this field."

Referring to the need to develop comprehensive relations between Iran and Turkey, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey said, "Neighborhood, cultural affinity and humanitarian relations between the people of the two countries emphasize the need to develop relations at high levels and in this regard, the two presidents are in close contact with each other.”

In the end, referring to the oppressive US sanctions, he said, "We see that during the Coronavirus epidemic, the United States has expanded its sanctions against some countries and also the Islamic Republic of Iran. We are against these sanctions and we have stated this in all international forums.”

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also congratulated Eid al-Adha, stressed the importance of developing economic exchanges between Iran and Turkey, adding that "The coronavirus has reduced economic relations of countries, but it is possible to further strengthen trade relations by observing health protocols.”

Referring to the capabilities of medical staff in Iran, he added that "Despite the inhumane US sanctions, we have successfully implemented medical and health plans and gained valuable experiences in this field."

"We are determined to establish a parliamentary friendship group with Turkey as soon as possible and to develop and strengthen our parliamentary cooperation in this way,' he added.

In the end,  Ghalibaf expressed hope that the relations between the two countries would expand in international and regional forums, and in particular, the cooperation between the two countries in the form of the Astana Summit would continue.
