Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Ministry criticized the South Korean news agency Yonhap's rumor on summoning the Ambassador of Iran to Seoul as an unprofessional act.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that Yonhap News Agency has published baseless news in an unprofessional act, noting that the Iranian envoy Msoud Shabestari Badamchi was not summoned but invited.

Pointing that Yonhap reference for the news was an Iranian media outlet, the ministry said the media in Iran is free to publish content and is responsible for what they write, thus their opinion has nothing to do with the official position of the Iranian government or Foreign Ministry.

Regarding Iran's assets in South Korea, the Public Relations of the Foreign Ministry stressed that comprehensive follow-up is on the agenda in accordance with the order of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
