Iran Press/Iran News: Hassan Darvishvand said during a meeting on Sistan-Baluchestan province on Saturday that Pakistan, with a population of over 200 million people, has a large capacity in the field of economic exchanges with Iran, which unfortunately has not been given noticeable attention.
He noted that the expansion of trade and economic relations with Pakistan is to the national interest of the two countries."The economies of Iran and Pakistan are complementary," he said. "In many fields, the two countries can help each other."
Director-General of Department for Attracting and Supporting investment in Sistan-Baluchestan province Mandana Zanganeh also said in the meeting that, "Pakistan's trade and economic exchange is very important for Iran."
On July 6, Rouhollah Latifi the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi stated that exports and imports of three trade borders in Sistan and Baluchestan with Pakistan including Rimdan, Kuhak, and Pishin have been completely reopened and trade with this country has returned to normal."
On June 19, The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Islamabad, Mohammad Ali Hosseini, and the Adviser to Pakistani Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razzak Dawood stressed the need to develop economic relations and continue consultations to remove obstacles to bilateral cooperation.
Finally, President Rouhani in a meeting to receive the credentials of the new Pakistani Ambassador to Iran Rahim Hayat Qureshi on June 24, emphasized the development and deepening of bilateral relations in all fields.
