Iran PressIran news: Delivering a speech on the occasion of "Iran's National Day of Industry and Mine" Hossein Modarres Khiabani stressed that not only there was no interruption in the production, but also we increased production in many items in the second quarter of 2020.

He added that cement production has increased %10, aluminum %33, washing machines %100 and detergents %5, steel %5/5. Pointing that economic growth in most European and Asian countries has declined with the outbreak of coronavirus, he said that Iran's car production has increased by more than 9% with the production of more than 200,000 cars after 2 years of negative growth.

"In the year that is named the 'Surge in Production', reliance on indigenized production, local companies, knowledge-based companies, and supplying the raw materials to the factories are the steps that the Industry, Mines, and Trade Ministry will take.

Referring to the increase in the country's exports, he highlighted that despite all the restrictions, in this year, exports will be higher than last year.

He stated that imports will be seriously controlled and banned except for essential products.80% of trade borders are open and conditions are back to the pre-Coronavirus era, the official concluded.
