Iran Press/ Iran news: The fire, which began last Thursday, has destroyed more than 1,000 hectares of forests in the Khayiz protected area.
Despite the containment of fire in most parts of the Khayiz protected area, flames have been spreading to some parts of the area.
Khayiz, with an area of 33,000 hectares, was named as a protected place over two decades ago.
The protected area located in the geographical area of Khuzestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Provinces, southwest of Iran.
Khayiz Protected Area is known as one of the most important and suitable habitats of wild goat.
Earlier, the pastures and the forests of Gachsaran in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province caught fire and then were contained after a few days. 207
